This is a Christian based program. The music and movement I teach includes finger play with poetry and song, hand held instruments the children get to experience themselves, the accompaniment of my guitar playing, dancing, musical games and a lot of fun kid friendly songs to learn. Some of these songs will include Christian songs!
My art projects consist of recycled products when doable, painting with different kinds of tools (brushes, sponges, marbles, etc), coloring with chalk, markers, crayons, pastels, making collages, themed art, and many other different crafts!
My compassionate communication lessons will consist of (but not limited to) teaching the children how to handle conflict, how to understand what they are feeling and needing, how to communicate their feelings and needs to one another, how to create peace with himself/herself and the people around them. I create an atmosphere of peace by using many different tools. These tools include Talk Blocks, the Peace Rose, and the Peace Stone, among others. You can see how the tools work when you come for a visit!
The classes will consist of all three of these, and also a short story time. I love children's books! I also have low class ratio, which gives the children plenty of one on one care.
